* Why do all the girls make fun of Molly Ringwald's clothes? I know the movie sets it up that she makes her own outfits and whatnot, but the way she dresses doesn't seem all that odd based on my memory of the '80s. Part of me says PiP is just a worse movie than those others, but part of me says I just waited too long to finally watch it. Those three movies I mentioned up top.I can recognize their faults but I still like them, probably because I saw them when I was closer to the relevant age group and some parts of them remind me of my own high school days. I graduated high school in 1990 so I'm only a few years younger than the characters in the movie. ![]() ![]() I'm guessing it would have been more profound if I'd seen it when it was fresh and I was more in tune with the trials and tribulations of coming of age. I know this movie is a classic for some, but I was mostly underwhelmed. Tivo recently grabbed PiP as a suggestion (probably because I recently watched Breakfast Club again), so I figured now's my time to finally fill in this blank. But for whatever reason I've never seen the other two big brat pack movies: Pretty In Pink and St. ![]() I like Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, and Weird Science, which are all under the John Hughes/Brat Pack umbrella.
